Garry Richardson has worked for the BBC for 40 years he started as a “tea boy” in the BBC Archives!  He is best known as the Sports Presenter on Radio Four’s prestigious “Today” programme,  he’s been appearing on the programme for the past 35 years and is now the longest serving member of the team. He also presents “Sportsweek” on Five Live every Sunday morning and is a regular contributor on BBC Television. He has reported on 7 Olympic Games and has interviewed some of the world’s most famous names including Nelson Mandela, Bill Clinton, Muhammad Ali, Bobby Moore, Sir Stanley Matthews, David Beckham, Tiger Woods, John McEnroe,  Arnold Schwarzenegger , Eddie Murphy, Ben Stiller, Ronnie Barker and  Richard Attenborough,

Garry’s big love is performing on the after dinner circuit. 2018 will mark his 32nd year as one of the country’s funniest speakers.  During that time he has spoken with some legendary names from the world of show business. They include Steven  Fry, Dame Diana Rigg, Sir John Mills, Bob Monkhouse and Ken Dodd, He has appeared on stage with Jasper Carrot and Alistair  McGowan and appeared  in a comedy show with Miranda Hart and Alan Carr.

On the “ After Dinner circuit “ Garry has entertained audiences from  all over Britain for almost 30 years ! His speech is a rich mixture of stories and anecdotes about his life in broadcasting including his incredible interview with President Bill Clinton in Wimbledon’s Royal Box, in front of 18 thousand tennis fans sitting under umbrellas and 10 million viewers on BBC 1.
